In Woodloch we repair Sub-Zero refrigerators, freezers, wine storage and ice makers, including units bought after flooding. Call or book online for a next-day visit off Highway 242.
Local housing, power events, water conditions, and installation styles all affect how we approach Sub-Zero diagnostics here.
North Woodloch Street, South Woodloch Street and Needham Road make up the whole town, which covers less than a tenth of a square mile. Houses sit close together along those short streets, with the river forming the eastern edge.
Close-set homes leave little room to stage a tall refrigerator in a driveway, so we plan the move before pulling a unit out. We protect floors and check the anchoring on any Sub-Zero we slide forward.
With the river so close, water around the house is the first concern for Woodloch owners, more than what comes from the tap. Appliances that stood in floodwater should be inspected even when they appear to run.
On a Sub-Zero, silt and corrosion settle in the condenser area, the water valve and the control board connections. We open those areas and test each one before telling you whether the unit is safe to keep.
During Harvey in 2017, Lake Conroe released a record 79,000 cubic feet per second into the San Jacinto. The river topped its banks and forced all of Woodloch to evacuate.
Power events follow floods, and a control board that survived the water may still fail after a surge. If a refrigerator in a repaired Woodloch home shows erratic temperatures, we check the board and the outlet supply first.
Many Woodloch homes took water and were repaired, so kitchens here often hold appliances bought after the flood. Floodwater also leaves silt in ducts and corrosion in electrical boxes that can surface months later.
A newer Sub-Zero can be fed by an older water line or outlet that went through the flood. We inspect those connections along with the unit and tell you when a plumber or electrician should step in.
Woodloch is a few minutes from I-45 by Highway 242 and Needham Road, and our technicians come the day after you call. With only three streets in town, finding the house is quick. Tell us whether the refrigerator is upstairs or downstairs and who will let us in.
Any home that has flooded deserves a look behind the refrigerator as well as inside it. If the unit cools poorly and the coil is caked with silt, a cleaning may be the whole repair. If the outlet box shows rust or a water line looks corroded, an electrician or plumber should handle that first.
Have it inspected. Silt and corrosion can sit in the condenser area and on the control board without showing for months.
If your home sits low and you have the space, yes. We can check the new location for power and airflow.
We come the next day after you call, using Highway 242 and Needham Road.
