On the Sub-Zero 648PRO and 648PROG, older PRO 48 models, code 47 points to a short circuit in the accent lighting wiring. Accent lights add decorative illumination in the cabinet. When the wiring shorts, the lights may stop working, flicker, or trip their circuit. Cooling continues as usual. The display shows code 47 so the technician knows where to look.
1) Check whether the accent lights work at all, or only flicker. 2) Look for condensation or water drops near the light strips. 3) Switch the unit off at the breaker, wait a minute, and turn it back on. 4) Leave the light housings closed. 5) Arrange a visit at a convenient time.
It is a short in the accent lighting wiring, not a cooling issue. The unit keeps food cold, but a short should be repaired to protect the rest of the wiring and the control.
A short in their wiring cuts them off or makes them flicker. Moisture inside a connector and a pinched wire behind the liner are typical reasons.
We find the shorted section, repair the wiring or replace the fixture, and confirm the lights work. You see a written price before we start.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
