Sub-Zero 601F freezer column service
The 601F is a 600 Series built-in all-freezer with a lighted electronic control, roll-out baskets and an automatic ice maker. It is typically one column of a refrigerator-freezer pair in a kitchen wall. The 600 Series is discontinued.
A door that no longer seals is the first thing we see, and slow recovery after the door has been open is a close second. Both often start at the gasket or with frost. The ice maker adds its own water-related calls, such as slow ice or cloudy cubes.
We test the seal, watch the recovery and check the ice maker’s water path. You get a written price first and a 30-day workmanship warranty. We also read the control panel for stored settings, since a unit that has lost power can come back with changed values.
A worn gasket or an alignment problem is usually behind it. We inspect the door fit, the gasket and any frost buildup, then quote the repair in writing before doing anything.
Gasket leaks, frost or restricted airflow are the usual reasons. We test each one and check how long the compartment takes to come back, then explain what we found.
Water flow or the fill valve is the usual cause. We check the supply line, the filter and the valve, and give you a written price before replacing any part of the ice maker.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
