On the legacy PRO 48 648PRO and 648PROG, two-digit code 41 means a compressor or wiring problem in one zone, where X is zone 1, 3 or 4. The control detected that the compressor serving that zone, or the wiring feeding it, is not working properly. That zone may lose cooling while the other zones keep running, so the first thing owners notice is one section warming up.
1. Note code 41 and which zone it names. 2. Check that zone's temperature with a thermometer. 3. Shut the circuit off at the breaker, count off two minutes and turn it on again. 4. Keep that zone's door closed and move perishables to a working zone if it warms. 5. Call us.
On the 648PRO, the code points to zone 1, 3 or 4. Check which section is warming, and note the zone number shown so we can bring the right parts.
It can be, because the zone may stop cooling. Often the cause is wiring, which is a simpler repair, but we need to test before knowing for sure.
We test the zone compressor circuit and wiring, then give a written price before any work. Our labor on the repair carries a 30-day warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
