What 10-7-00 means

Both current Designer units, such as the DET3050CI and DEC3050R, and older Classic BI models like the BI-36U/S and BI-48SD/S use 10-7-00 for the same condition: the ambient sensor reads open. This sensor measures the room air around the refrigerator, and the control uses it to adjust heaters and compressor timing for kitchen conditions. With no signal, the unit falls back on default behavior. Cabinets usually keep cooling, but the unit may run longer or cycle less efficiently than it should.
