Three Sub-Zero platforms share 10-1-11: the current Classic CL series such as the CL3650U, current Designer units like the DET3050CI, and Legacy Designer integrated models like the IT-36CI. On all three it reports a short in the Zone 1 evaporator thermistor, the sensor on the cooling coil. With a shorted reading the board cannot judge when defrost should end, so frost may linger on the coil and Zone 1 may warm up gradually.
1. Look for water or ice on the floor of Zone 1 and dry it. 2. Clear anything blocking the rear air vents. 3. Close the door and check that it seals all around. 4. Reset the breaker once. 5. Keep a thermometer inside and book us if it rises.
Yes. Classic CL, Designer and Legacy Designer all use 10-1-11 for a short in the Zone 1 evaporator thermistor. The location of the plug differs, but the reading is the same.
It tells the board when defrost has melted the ice. A shorted reading confuses that timing, so ice can build and block airflow through Zone 1.
We test first and give a written price before any work. The total depends on whether the short sits in the plug, the wire or the sensor. Our labor comes with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
