Code 35-3-00 means different things on two Sub-Zero platforms. On current Designer models such as the DET3050CI and DEC3050R, it reports an open circuit on the Zone 3 fan. On Classic Built-In units like the BI-36U/S and BI-48SD/S, the same digits report the condenser fan circuit open. On Designer, Zone 3 may lose airflow and warm. On the Classic BI, heat cannot be cleared from the machine compartment properly, so the whole unit can lose cooling.
1. Confirm which platform you have from the model number on the rating plate. 2. On a Classic BI, clear and vacuum the grille. 3. On Designer, keep the Zone 3 rear vents free. 4. Reset the breaker once. 5. Check temperatures and move food if they rise.
Designer and Classic BI number their fans differently. On Designer, 3 is the third zone's fan. On the Classic BI it is the condenser fan. We read your model number first.
On a Classic BI, a stopped condenser fan can affect cooling in both sections, so act quickly. On Designer, only Zone 3 is affected at first.
We check the plug, harness and motor for the fan your platform names, fix what is open, and confirm airflow. You get a written price first and a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
