Within the water system group on Classic BI models such as the BI-36UFD/S and BI-36U/S, the second device is the dispenser water valve, and 30-U-10 says its circuit is open. The ice maker may still fill if its own valve is fine, but pressing for water at the door gives nothing because the control cannot energize the dispenser valve. Cabinet cooling is unaffected.
1. Check whether the ice maker still makes ice; tell us when you call. 2. Confirm the water filter is locked in. 3. Hold the dispenser lever for a few seconds to rule out an air pocket. 4. Use the keypad lock if needed and wait for service.
BI dispenser models use separate valve sections for ice and door water. 30-U-10 is limited to the dispenser water valve, so the ice maker can keep filling its tray normally.
A clogged filter slows flow but does not create an open circuit. This code is electrical, so changing the filter is fine if it is due, but it will not bring door water back.
It depends on whether the valve or a connector is the cause. We give a written price before work, and the repair includes our 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
