On Sub-Zero Designer columns like the DET3050CI and DEC3050R, 35-C-33 says the condenser fan speed setting is too low. These models use a DC condenser fan, and the control has found it running slower than its target. With weak condenser airflow, the sealed system has trouble shedding heat, so the compressor runs longer, the grille area feels warmer than usual, and cabinet temperatures may creep up on hot days.
1. Clean the toe-kick grille with a soft brush or vacuum; dust there starves the fan. 2. Keep rugs, bags and boxes away from the grille opening. 3. Make sure the kitchen space around the base is not blocked by trim. 4. Leave the unit on and note whether the code returns after cleaning.
It can help if dust was slowing the fan. If the code comes back on a clean unit, the DC condenser fan itself is not reaching speed and needs testing.
Running hot for long stretches adds strain, which is why Designer models flag the speed early. Booking soon keeps the compressor running in normal conditions.
We clean the condenser, test the fan speed and replace the fan if it lags. You receive a written price first, and the labor carries our 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
