Current Designer models such as the DEC3050R and Classic BI units such as the BI-48SD/S share 90-H-80, high voltage system no communication. The main control has lost all contact with the high voltage system, the board that switches line-voltage loads such as compressors, fans and heaters. Without that link, cooling can stop, fans may go quiet and the display may show the code repeatedly. Temperatures can rise within hours.
1. Turn the breaker off for one minute and restore power. 2. Check whether you hear the compressor or fans after the restart. 3. Place thermometers in each section and watch them closely. 4. Move perishables to coolers with ice if temperatures rise, and call us.
The high voltage system switches the compressor and fans. When the main control loses contact with it, the control cannot start those loads, so cooling stops until the link is restored.
A restart may restore communication if the boards lost sync briefly. If 90-H-80 returns, the cable or one of the boards needs testing, and the visit should be soon.
We treat lost cooling as urgent and test the boards and cable first. You approve a written price before any part is ordered, and our 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
