Legacy 600 Series units with serial 1810000 and later, the 650/F for instance, and 700-2 and 700-3 integrated models such as the 736TCI may display de. This is a status indication that diagnostics are enabled, not an error. It is typically used while a technician or phone support line reviews the unit. Normal cooling continues, and the readout returns to temperatures once the session ends.
1. Keep using the refrigerator as usual. 2. Note whether any numbered code appears in the diagnostic display. 3. Wait for the display to return to normal, or reset power at the breaker for a minute. 4. Call us if a numbered code shows or temperatures drift.
It means diagnostics are enabled. The display is ready to show stored codes and readings for a technician, but de by itself does not indicate a problem with the refrigerator.
It usually returns on its own. If it does not, switching power off at the breaker for a minute and back on brings back the regular temperature readout.
Not for de alone. If a numbered code appears while diagnostics are on, write it down and call us; we explain it and give a written price before any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
