On Designer Wine (IW) storage like the IW-18 and IW-30, 10 1 10 says the zone 1 evaporator thermistor is open. That sensor sits on the zone 1 cooling coil, and the control now sees no circuit there. Without a coil reading it cannot judge when zone 1 needs defrost or how cold the coil is running. The usual result is frost collecting on the zone 1 coil, weaker airflow and a zone that gradually loses its chill.
1. Check for frost behind the zone 1 rear vents. 2. Leave any ice alone; do not chip it. 3. Keep the zone 1 door shut and sealed. 4. Restart at the breaker after a minute. 5. Call us if frost spreads or 10 1 10 returns.
10 1 00 is the zone 1 air sensor in the cabinet. 10 1 10 is the zone 1 coil sensor that guides defrost, so frost on the coil is more likely with this one.
You can, with towels down, and it may help for a few days. The code and the frost will come back until the coil sensor circuit is repaired.
Melting any ice, testing the circuit and replacing what failed, after you approve a written price. We back it with a 30-day workmanship warranty. Set aside a morning.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
