Owners of Sub-Zero Designer Wine (IW) storage, such as the IW-30CI and IW-30, may see 15-2-00 when the zone 2 compressor relay is stuck open. The control board calls for cooling in zone 2, yet the relay never closes, so the compressor for that zone gets no power. Zone 2 gradually rises in temperature while the other zones carry on, and the panel shows 15 2 00.
1. Read the zone 2 temperature and write it down. 2. Shift bottles that matter most out of zone 2. 3. Power the unit down at the breaker briefly and bring it back once. 4. If the code persists, book a technician and keep the doors closed.
Each relay on these IW controls handles one zone, so a stuck relay affects just that zone. Zones 1 and 3 keep running on their own circuits.
It depends on the room and how often the door opens. A closed cabinet holds temperature for some hours, but it will rise steadily without the compressor, so arrange service soon.
Only if testing shows the board is the problem rather than the relay alone. We explain what we find, give a written price, and cover the repair with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
