Sub-Zero 632 Side-by-Side with Ice Maker Repair
People sometimes call about their 632 as if it were an ice machine, because of the automatic ice maker in the freezer. It is a full 600 Series side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, and we treat it like one, with the ice maker as one more thing to test.
Before you call, locate the model and serial plate. It is mounted on the upper part of the side frame inside the cabinet, close to the hinge, and having the number ready makes scheduling quicker.
On the cooling side, expect either a warm half with a normal half, or a compressor that has started running more than before. For the ice maker, a lack of ice, slow ice, or cloudy cubes gets its own check, separate from temperature. Parts remain available on order, with legacy items taking longer to arrive.
