Sub-Zero CL3650UG glass door refrigerator freezer service
Sub-Zero offers the CL3650UG as the Classic 36-inch over-and-under with a glass front. It is meant to be seen, so it usually anchors a kitchen where the glass front is part of the design.
Almost everything we deal with on it comes back to how the door closes. If it drifts open a fraction or the gasket has lost its grip, the cabinet gains warm air and the display and the real temperature stop agreeing. We check the hinge alignment, the gasket compression, and the closing force before suspecting a sensor.
Moisture on the inner surface of the glass points the same direction. We test the seal all the way around and look at the glass pane itself. Pulling a built-in unit forward is slow work, so we plan the visit to get everything done in one trip. We shut off the water and power properly before moving anything, then recheck both when we finish.
A poorly closing door lets warm air in, so the cabinet runs behind its set point. We measure with a separate thermometer, check the seal, and only then look at the sensor.
Fogging usually means humid air is reaching the glass through a gap in the gasket, or the pane is losing its insulating value. We inspect the whole seal and advise you before any part is ordered.
We look at hinge alignment, run a thin paper test around the gasket, and watch how the door swings shut. Adjustments are covered by our 30-day workmanship warranty.
