Sub-Zero UC-24CI combination undercounter with ice maker, repair
The UC-24CI is the ice-making version of the 24-inch undercounter combination, with a refrigerator and a freezer under one counter opening. Bars, game rooms and finished basements are where we find most of them.
Because the cabinet is surrounded by cabinetry, the airflow through the front grille is what we test first. A clogged condenser slows recovery after you stock it, and the same blockage raises the load on the compressor. We clean it, confirm fan operation, then see how the temperature responds.
Ice complaints are handled separately from cooling: water supply, inlet valve, mold and harvest. The model is discontinued, so OEM parts are generally still available but take longer than parts for a current model.
