Designer integrated refrigeration, for example the DEC3050R or DET3050CI, displays 10-C-01 for a shorted condenser thermistor. The sensor sits at the condenser in the machine compartment, and the board uses it to keep an eye on how hot that part of the system runs. A short sends a value the board cannot accept, so it stops trusting the reading. The unit may keep cooling, but the board has lost a safeguard it normally relies on.
1. Keep the front grille clear and free of lint. 2. Watch the cabinet temperatures with a thermometer. 3. Listen for unusual noise from the bottom or top grille and tell us if you hear any. 4. Reset the breaker once and note whether the code returns.
Heat and vibration in the machine compartment can wear insulation where the wire rests on tubing. Moisture can also bridge the plug. We secure the routing so it does not happen again.
It is not an emergency, but the board has lost a safeguard. Book a visit in the next few days and keep a thermometer inside so you can act if temperatures climb.
Only if the harness itself is damaged beyond a clean repair. Most of the time the fix is the sensor or a short section of wire, priced in writing before we start.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
