Designer integrated models in the DET/DEC line, such as the DET3050CI and DEC3050R, list 15-C-01 as a condenser relay that is closed when it should not be. Code family 15 covers the board's relays, so this one has stuck in the on position for the condenser circuit. The board can no longer switch that circuit off on its own schedule. Owners may notice the unit running longer than usual, extra warmth at the grille, or simply the code on the screen.
1. Listen at the grille: does the unit seem to run without ever pausing? 2. Keep the grille clear so heat can escape. 3. Check cabinet temperatures; overcooling is possible. 4. Turn the breaker off for one minute and back on. 5. If 15-C-01 returns, call us and mention it.
The condenser relay is stuck closed, so the board cannot turn that circuit off when it wants to. Long, unbroken run times are the result. We confirm it with the relay readings before any part is ordered.
Long continuous running adds wear and heat in the machine compartment. It is not usually an emergency, but booking a visit within a few days protects the rest of the system.
We check the relay output, the board and the wiring to the condenser circuit, then quote a written price. The repair is backed by our 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
