Sub-Zero 648PRO Code 35: Zone fan speed wrong

What 35 means

On the legacy Sub-Zero PRO 48, models 648PRO and 648PROG, code 35 is a fan speed error. The control sees that the fan in zone X, where X is 1, 3 or 4, is not spinning at the expected speed. Without proper airflow, cold air does not circulate well and the zone can warm. You might hear a fan that sounds louder, slower or silent. The display shows code 35 with the zone number.

What does code 35 mean on my 648PRO?

The fan for the zone shown is not running at the speed the control expects. Airflow across the coil drops, so cooling in that zone suffers and temperatures may creep up.

Could ice cause code 35?

Yes. Ice on the fan blades or shroud slows them, and the control flags the speed. Heavy ice can also signal a defrost problem, which we would check during the same visit.
