On Sub-Zero legacy UC-24 undercounter units, such as the UC-24F or UC-24C, a flashing Service light means excessive compressor run and a possible cooling issue. The compressor has been running much longer than normal without bringing the unit to temperature. Owners usually notice warm drawers or compartments and Service blinking on the display. Door seals and airflow are checked before the refrigeration side.
1. Close every drawer and door firmly and check the gaskets. 2. Clear the toe grille of dust and anything in front of it. 3. Restart the unit with a one-minute breaker reset. 4. If Service keeps flashing, move perishables and call us. 5. Give the unit time to recover after a warm load.
The control saw the compressor run too long, which can mean a cooling issue. Door seals, airflow and load are checked first. A long run often traces to a door that is not fully sealing.
If a door was left open or a large warm load was added, the unit may recover. If Service keeps flashing, it needs a technician.
We check doors, airflow, condenser and cooling in order. We quote in writing before any repair, and our workmanship carries a 30-day warranty. Most visits finish with a clear answer the same day.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
