Sub-Zero 700BCI combination drawers with ice maker service
The 700BCI is the 700BC layout with an automatic ice maker added. It uses the same combination of refrigerator and freezer drawers, and it tends to be installed where ice is wanted at hand, such as a bar or an entertaining kitchen.
A unit that runs without cycling off tells us it is fighting heat or air leaks. We examine the front-vent condenser area, the fan and each drawer seal in turn. Ice that is missing, slow or cloudy is traced separately through the water supply, the inlet valve and the mold, since those are not part of the cooling system.
This generation is no longer produced. OEM parts can generally still be ordered, though legacy items take longer to arrive. Our estimate is written before we start, and a 30-day workmanship warranty is included.
Dust on the condenser, a drawer that does not seal or a slow fan can keep it running. We check these in order and show you what we find before quoting repair in writing.
Largely yes. It has its own water inlet and mold. So when ice is poor, we test those first, while the cooling check tells us whether the cabinet is cold enough to make ice.
The feature list says it is otherwise the same as the 700BC, with the ice maker added. We still match parts by the data plate to be sure.
