Sub-Zero 700TR Tall All-Refrigerator Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Fan sound changing behind the back of the cabinet
  2. Dust restricting airflow at the condenser grille
  3. Deli drawer out of square and not sealing

Standing tall with just one compartment, the 700TR is a 700 Series refrigerator. Inside are digital electronic controls, glass shelves that adjust and stop spills, a deli drawer, and a fixed shelf. It is no longer produced and was also printed as the 700TR-RH.

Two things dominate our visits to this cabinet. One is air: a fan that has begun making noise behind the rear panel, and a condenser grille collecting dust, both of which shorten the cabinet’s easy life. The other is the deli drawer, which wears out of square on its slides and then fails to seal when pushed home.

None of these usually needs the sealed system opened. We test, clean, and adjust first, and you hear the price before work begins. Parts can generally be ordered, but legacy items take longer than current ones.

700TR700TR questions
What separates the 700TR from the 700TR-RH?

The 700TR-RH is a version of the same tall all-refrigerator, and we service it the same way as the 700TR. We confirm the exact rating plate on your unit before ordering parts, so the right part arrives.

Why won't my 700TR deli drawer close properly?

Most likely it has slipped out of alignment on its runners after years of opening and closing. That is a mechanical repair, not a refrigeration one, and we realign the slides and test the seal.

Is a noisy fan on a 700TR worth checking?

Yes. A fan that has changed sound may be wearing out, and replacing it early keeps airflow steady and spares the compressor. Replacement is simple compared to waiting for a failed fan to affect cooling.
