Sub-Zero uses 90-H-82 on its IW Designer Wine Storage, models such as the IW-30 and IW-24, when the high voltage micro (CCM) has only partial communication. Some messages between the control and the high voltage side get through and others do not. Owners may notice cooling, fans or lights acting inconsistently, and 90 H 82 on the display. Problems may appear and disappear over hours.
1. Reset at the breaker, waiting a full minute before power returns. 2. Note any lights, fans or cooling acting strangely. 3. Avoid sharing the circuit with heavy appliances if possible. 4. Book a visit if the code keeps returning. 5. Keep track of zone temperatures in the meantime.
Partial communication means messages are getting through sometimes. As conditions change, the control may clear the code and then flag it again. Note when it shows so we can match the timing.
Both involve the high voltage micro. 90-H-80 means no communication at all; 90-H-82 means communication is only partly working. Partial loss often comes before a complete one.
We test board power and communication, then repair or replace the board. A written price comes first, with a 30-day warranty on our work. We bring the matching board for your IW model where possible.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
