On Sub-Zero legacy UC-24 undercounter models like the UC-24CI and UC-24R, EE on the display together with a flashing Service light means a temperature sensor is not working. The position tells you which one: EE on the left points to the freezer compartment thermistor, EE on the right to the refrigerator compartment thermistor. Owners see the EE and Service, and the affected compartment may drift in temperature.
1. Note whether EE is on the left or right of the display. 2. Keep doors closed to protect the contents. 3. Try one breaker reset. 4. If EE and Service return, call us and tell us which side shows EE. 5. Check contents of the affected compartment for warming.
EE on the left points to the freezer compartment thermistor; EE on the right points to the refrigerator compartment thermistor. Telling us which side speeds up the repair.
Often it keeps cooling but without accurate control in the affected compartment. Check food and drink temperatures until it is fixed. Move sensitive items if needed.
We test the indicated thermistor and its wiring, then replace or repair as needed. A written price comes first, and our workmanship carries a 30-day warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
