If an IW Designer Wine unit like the IW-24 or IW-18 shows 35-2-00, Sub-Zero means the zone 2 evaporator fan circuit is open. The control cannot see the fan that circulates chilled air in zone 2, so air sits still around the bottles. Zone 2 tends to drift warm or uneven, frost may gather on its coil, and 35 2 00 is on the panel.
1. Open zone 2 for a moment and listen for fan movement. 2. Pull bottles a little forward from the back wall of zone 2. 3. Give the unit one restart at the breaker. 4. Ask us to inspect it if 35-2-00 keeps showing.
When the evaporator fan stops, cold collects at the coil instead of moving through the zone, and frost can build up there. That fits an open fan circuit.
Same type of problem, different zone. 35-1-00 is the zone 1 evaporator fan; 35-2-00 is the zone 2 fan. The checks and likely parts are similar but separate.
It depends on whether the fan, harness or board is the cause after testing. We give a written price before starting, and the repair is backed by our 30-day warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
